II. Introduction

Epithelial tumors form about 98% of all primary tumors of the urinary bladder the vast majority of which are transitional cell carcinomas. Messenchymal tumors of the renal pelvis, ureter and bladder, benign or malignant, are rare. Only epithelial tumors will therefore be discussed.
