Directions for Roanoke: When approaching Roanoke on 1-81, take Exit 143 which is I-581. Continue on I-581 until you get to Colonial Avenue. Exit the ramp to your right onto Colonial Avenue. Turn right onto Brandon Road at the next signal light, go to Franklin Road and turn left. Go just a short distance and turn right onto Wiley Drive (across from the Ramada Inn). Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital will be directly ahead of you. You will see the parking garage on your left. Follow the street between the garage and the hospital to the top of the hill to the entrance. Take the elevator down to the first floor and an underground ramp will take you into the lobby of the hospital. The office for UVA medical students is located on the first floor via the escalator. Directions for Salem: Take Interstate 81 south to Exit 141 (sign will say Veterans Hospital). Go 5 traffic lights; at the General Electric plant, take a left and then go 1/2 mile. The entrance to the VA will be on the right. Follow the signs and look for Building 10 (all buildings have a number of the front). Ms. Connie Azar, student coordinator is located on the 2nd floor if you have questions. However, student should pick up their keys not from Ms. Azar, but from the contact in their service area.
