Electives/Selectives - Introductory Information

What do I need to do to begin Electives/Selectives? - check list

Read the Introductory Materials (either in hard copy or on the web)

• Pick a faculty advisor and submit the Advisor form by November 2nd.
• Discuss your Elective and Selective choices with your advisor, focusing on Block A (Rotations 1 – 4) and on Selectives and Lottery Electives for the entire year.
• Information on scheduling Selectives and Lottery Electives will be given to you November 26th. Away rotations (including Military rotations) may be scheduled any time, and then you will have to plan your Lottery Electives and Selectives around the away rotations.
• Enter your OB Selective choices in Oasis – after meeting on Nov. 26 - 8:00 am Nov. 30.
• Enter your OTHER Selective choices in Oasis - after OB results released on Nov. 30 - 8:00 am Dec. 4
• Enter your Lottery Elective choices in Oasis – after Selective Lottery results are released, no later than Dec. 6 - 8:00 am Dec. 12.
• You will be notified when the lottery results are viewable. No changes are permitted until January 7, 2008.
• You will be allowed to add and drop Selectives in Oasis beginning on January 7th.
• On January 7, begin scheduling Arranged Electives at UVA.
• Block A Form due by March 10.
