Medical Instruments (The Black Bag)
Practice of Medicine-1 (PoM-1) in the first year includes lectures and
a small group sessions where the skills of performing a physical examination
are discussed and practiced under the supervision of an attending physician.
In order to participate in this course, each student must purchase his/her
own instruments which are ordered at the beginning of the first year.
Ordering is done through the Student Book Store.
The following instruments are helpful:
Bag for instruments
*Stethoscope
Sphygmomanometer
*Otoscope
*Reflex Hammer
Tuning Fork
* Penlight
* All students will need those items marked with an asterisk.
Other instruments can be bought as dictated by an individual's finances.
