Medical Instruments (The Black Bag)

Practice of Medicine-1 (PoM-1) in the first year includes lectures and a small group sessions where the skills of performing a physical examination are discussed and practiced under the supervision of an attending physician. In order to participate in this course, each student must purchase his/her own instruments which are ordered at the beginning of the first year. Ordering is done through the Student Book Store.

The following instruments are helpful:

* All students will need those items marked with an asterisk.

Other instruments can be bought as dictated by an individual's finances. Ms. Darci Lieb in the Office of Medical Education can answer questions (924-2194).
