	MSPE INTERVIEW REMINDERS If you haven't scheduled your MSPE interview, please do so! Deadline for interviews: August 22. Please check the link above to verify your appt. If it is incorrect or if you do not have one scheduled, please contact Ginny by phone or in person as soon as possible. Consult the April 2007 issue of the Vital Signs for information regarding scheduling your appointment. Contact Ginny Atwell at 924-5579 to schedule your appointment. Check the Student Affairs web site to verify your appointment date and time Biosketch & CV Tips: Do not FAX the Biosketch or CV. Send them via email as an attachment, and submit a hard copy as well. Be sure to consult the instructions for use located in the April 2007 issue. You must use Microsoft Word for the Biosketch to be completed correctly - please DO NOT use other software.

NRMP Agreement & Fee?

The online applicant registration will open August 15th. The fee is still $40 this year, so you can factor that into your financial planning.

The AAMC ID that you received at the April residency meeting will be your ID for ERAS and the NRMP. After you login and register with the two respective sites, they will confirm that this is your ID and that you will use it as your logon hence forth. Please make a note of it and your passwords and keep them someplace safe. If you can't remember your AAMC ID, check the front of the ERAS book in Ginny's office, or your AMCAS application. Important: The NRMP requires that each medical school certify participants as being potential graduates. You cannot participate in the Match unless you are certified. To be certified you need to take both USMLE Step 2 CK and CS by December 30th. If you haven't scheduled your exams do so now!

ERAS tokens and MyERAS will be available to students July 16th.
Carefully read instructions for requesting letters of recommendation. Your AAMC ID is on your AMCAS application, & in the ERAS binder in Ginny's ******office. Get your photographs now (COLOR, 3.5" x 2.5" {wallet size, NOT passport}, light background, Interview Attire). ***You'll want at least 3, 2 for Ginny (for ERAS and for the yearbook) and 1 to have added to your CV. If you do not add it to your CV, you may want to get a larger package of pictures so that you can take them on your interviews. *** Wal*Mart, F-Stop Photo (Seminole Square) and K-Mart all offer nice deals, but you are certainly welcome to use whoever you like. I cannot use digital photos or passport photos however. ***Your photos will be your gateway to gaining access to the ERAS tokens once they arrive.*** Submit your ERAS application via the web by 9-21-07 ERAS letters of recommendation are due in Student Affairs by 9-21-07

	MISC. REMINDERS:
USMLE Step 1 & Step 2 (CK&CS) are required for graduation and to be certified to particpate in the NRMP match. You must take Step 2 (both steps) before December 30th. See the USMLE reporting site on report dates, and please note that they are consistently almost always accurate for the Report Closing Date. Use The Student Affairs Web Site: Remember to use & bookmark the "Student Source" web site!. Use it to access FREIDA, AAMC, NRMP, ERAS & other residency information. Just click on Residency Information on the home page. Career Planning Web Site: The AAMC Career Planning Page now requires a login and password to utilize their site. Some of you have already entered the site, those who have not will need a password. It has been assigned by the AAMC and you can get yours by checking the front of the ERAS binder in Ginny's office at any time.
