If you do not have the AvantGo client already installed, you will need to install the M-Business client software on your PC.
To install the M-Business client software:
- Download M-Business Client Software for Palm OS .
- Double-click MBEntPalmEN.exe, and follow the instructions to install the software.
- Find the M-Business Connect™ application in the M-Business folder in your Start Menu. Start the application and click "Add...".
- Enter your servername (www.med-ed.virginia.edu), username (your 5 character uva computing ID), password, and port (8092).
- Click the "Test" button to test the connection, and verify that the test concludes successfully.
- Close the M-Business Connect™ application.
- After installation, connect your Palm device to your computer and HotSync to install the M-Business Client on your device.
To access the patient log on your PDA:
- HotSync your Palm device.
- Open the M-Business application from the home screen.
- Tap the server icon
at the top center of the screen. Select "UVA School of Medicine Anywhere".
If you already have AvantGo installed and working, you will need to set up a new content server on your Palm device.
To set up a new server:
- Open the AGConnect application from the home screen
- Tap at the top of the screen for the pull down menu, choose Server
New Server - Enter the server address (www.med-ed.virginia.edu), port (8092), username (your 5 character uva computing ID), and password. Tap the "Ok" button.
To access the patient log on your PDA:
- HotSync your Palm device.
- Open the AvantGo Application from your home screen.
- Tap the server icon
at the top center of the screen. Select "UVA School of Medicine Anywhere".
