Risk: Early sexual activity, early child bearing, history
of multiple sexual partners; viral etiology
Background: Second most common pelvic
cancer, decreasing death rate due to early detection, average age
at diagnosis: 35-55
Symptoms: Minimal abnormal vaginal
bleeding or abnormal bloody discharge, rare symptoms with early
disease
Screening: Annual pelvic exams and
cervical Pap smears when 18, or earlier if sexually active
