Skin Cancer
Increased Risk: Squamous Cell - sun exposure, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, chronic infection or irritation, radiation, leukoplakia, (raised whitish oral mucosal lesion), actinic or solar keratosis, fair skin, Caucasion, blond or red hair, easily burned, freckling, outdoor workers, immunosuppression; Basal Cell - sun exposure, UV radiation
Background: Increasing incidence, most common cancer, middle age or older. Sunscreens may decrease risk
Symptoms: change in skin (variable - lump, smooth, crusting, red, flat, waxy; non-healing sore, new growth)
