Main and Right Pulmonary Arteries

Follow the main pulmonary artery superiorly from the heart and go right at its bifurcation into the main RPA as it passes behind the ascending aorta. Within the mediastinum, the RPA gives rise to the truncus anterior (TA), anterior to the right upper lobe bronchus.
