The Lateral View

The lateral view is the most important film of all.

Interpretation follows the mnemonic AABCDS.

First, is the film Adequate?
An adequate film should include all 7 vertebrae and C7-T1 junction. It should also have correct density and show the soft tissue and bony structures well.
