TEACHING AT THE BEDSIDE
Tip 10: Self-evaluate
In order to improve your teaching, it also is important to self-evaluate, preferably within a reasonably close timeframe to the teaching encounter. This can be accomplished by asking yourself the following:
- What did the student tell me about what went well and what did not go well?
- What were my own perceptions and observations regarding the encounter?
- Where do I need to make potential adjustments to my teaching?
- What is my plan to address these adjustments?
