TEACHING AT THE BEDSIDE
Tip 1: Prepare Yourself and Your Student Ahead of Time
Take a few minutes to explore and identify a list of resources you will utilize with students on your rotation. Some of these resources may already be in existence (e.g. specific reviews/procedures/etc. from the above websites). Others may need to be developed initially but can be used throughout the year. You also might consider collaborating with your resident colleagues and faculty to develop a pool of resources for your specialty that can be accessed electronically and drawn upon by everyone who is teaching.
If you have a clerkship student, refer to the goals and objectives here of the respective clerkship to help you focus the content of your resources.
