Mistake 6: Just Talk to the Student When You Teach

Let students be as actively involved in their learning as possible. Ask the them to DO or respond to something whenever possible and relevant. Pay attention to how much you engage students and get them involved in their learning process vs. YOU doing all of the talking while students are passive.

Your tasks:

Pick a day you have students with you and monitor who is doing most of the talking. Is it you or the students?

At the end of the day, reflect on the opportunities that were available as teaching moments. Which did you take advantage of? Which did you miss?
