Step 4: Reinforce What Was Done Well
In order for learners to improve, it is helpful for them to know what they did well in specific terms. Saying "You did a great job" does not enhance learners' understanding of their performance. Instead, you could say:
"In this case, it would have been easy to jump to a premature conclusion. You did a great job of keeping an open mind until you gathered all of the necessary information."
"Your diagnosis of was well supported by your history and physical. You clearly integrated these findings into your assessment."
