Typical day: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Attendance: Attendance of sports medicine events during the rotation is mandatory

  • Anyone who is ill or has a personal or family emergency must contact Student Affairs and the Attending on Service.
  • Students are allowed to take off up to 1 day per week to interview between November 1 and February 1.
    • Specific days missed must be approved by the Attending on Service.

Number of students per rotation:

Course Description: Students will receive training in conservative management of common spine and other musculoskeletal conditions including radiculopathies, and degernative joint disease. There will be exposure to fluoroscopic guided spinal injections, peripheral injections, various medications for acute & chronic pain, and to the role of physical therapy, imaging and EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies.

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn to diagnose & treat non-operative musculoskeletal conditions including spine & peripheral joint disorders

2. Learn indications for fluoroscopic guided spinal injections.
