Available: Rotations 2, 3b, 4a, 5b, 6, 7a, 9, 10 & 11

Place to Report: Northridge Building, Suite 210, Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic

Typical day: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Attendance: Attendance at elective activities is mandatory.

  • Anyone who is ill or has a personal or family emergency must contact Student Affairs and the Attending on Service.
  • Students are allowed to take off up to 1 day per week to interview between November 1 and February 1.
    • Specific days missed must be approved by the Attending on Service.

Course Description: Under the supervision of Dr. Anita Clayton and staff, students learn outpatient assessment of individual patients and their families. They gain skills in individual, family and group therapy techniques and assist in running medication groups. There will be opportunities for participation in consultation to other services at Northridge. A variety of ongoing seminars are available.
